Welcome to BT’s interactive sustainability self assessment tool. This is a free tool designed to give you an idea of the environmental impact of your business and identify areas where you can improve.

Customers and suppliers alike look for companies that share their environmental concerns, so improving your processes and tackling your carbon footprint isn’t just good for the planet – it also makes great business sense.

We’re going to look at the basics of your business – your people, places and policies – to help you find areas to reduce impact and save money.

With all the information at your fingertips, it’ll take around 10-15 minutes to complete the assessment. Once you’ve finished you’ll be able to download a personalised report giving you a green, amber or red rating in different areas of sustainability based on industry benchmarks for your company size and sector.

You’ll also get some tips and tricks on using technology and policies to help you turn every section into a green one, arming you with a set of clear recommendations to reduce your carbon impact and your operating costs.

Before you start, you’ll need to have your electricity bills to hand, together with general information about your company’s travel habits, workplace and environmental policy. The more accurate your information, the more you will get out of the assessment.
